- Hospital privileges at ECU Health Medical Center
- Inpatient only clinical care in a high volume 16-bed cardiac ICU
- Established team of 8 experienced Advanced Practice Providers and 6 Surgeons
- Ability to work with a nationally recognized cardiothoracic surgery program that performs more than 1,000 pump cases annually
- Clinical responsibilities will include performing histories and physical examinations, patient assessments, daily patient rounds with physicians, and facilitation of pre-operative and post-operative patient care
- Schedule will include (7) 12-hour shifts every 2 weeks with rotating nights and weekends
- For interested candidates, a nocturnist schedule is available
- Procedures will include chest tube placement and removal, arterial lines, central lines, swan-ganz catheter, thoracentesis, transvenous pacers, and bronchoscopies
- High level of autonomy
- ACLS certification by the American Heart Association is required
