Purpose of the Role:
We are seeking a Real Estate Associate Attorney to join our Roseland, NJ office. The ideal candidate will have 5 years of experience handling commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, development, and commercial lending matters. The role involves representing lenders, borrowers, developers, investors, and business owners in a broad range of commercial real estate and related business transactions. Experience with zoning, land use, title, due diligence, and deal structuring matters is a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial real estate agreements, including purchase and sale agreements, leases, loan documents, financing agreements, and development-related contracts.
- Represent lenders and borrowers in commercial financing transactions, including acquisition, construction, bridge, and permanent financing matters.
- Conduct due diligence, review title and survey materials, and assist with transaction structuring.
- Manage commercial real estate closings from inception through post-closing.
- Advise clients on zoning, land use, permitting, title, and regulatory matters.
- Assist with business and transactional matters related to real estate ownership, development, and investment activities.
- Collaborate with attorneys across multiple practice areas on complex commercial transactions.
- Maintain strong client relationships and support business development initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the New Jersey Bar required; New York Bar admission is a plus.
- 5 years of experience handling commercial real estate transactions, including commercial lending and financing matters.
- Experience representing lenders, financial institutions, borrowers, developers, and investors is preferred.
- Strong drafting, negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to independently manage multiple transactions and deadlines.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and client service skills.
Salary : $170,000 - $225,000
