Are you passionate about natural resources while driving impactful environmental consulting projects? ECS is looking for an experienced results-driven Natural Resources Department Manager to lead and grow our Natural Resources team in the Atlanta market.

What You'll Do:
Leadership & Team Management
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of environmental scientists, technicians, and project managers
- Foster a collaborative, growth-oriented culture that encourages technical excellence and accountability
- Manage department operations including workload allocation, scheduling, team development, and resource planning
Project Oversight & Technical Expertise
- Oversee and review technical reports for wetland delineations, ecological assessments, stream and habitat restoration, threatened and endangered species surveys, and permitting deliverables
- Direct field investigations and QA/QC processes for natural resources projects in compliance with local, state, and federal environmental regulations
- Guide junior staff in understanding how field data informs conclusions in ecological reports
- Engage in fieldwork as needed to support team or project deliverables
Business Development & Client Engagement
- Lead strategic business development efforts by identifying new opportunities, preparing competitive proposals, and cultivating client relationships across the public and private sectors
- Represent ECS in pre-application meetings and regulatory agency discussions to support clients through permitting and compliance processes
- Promote ECS’s natural resources services, including environmental permitting, stream/wetland mitigation, habitat restoration, and due diligence support
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Environmental Science, Ecology, Biology, Natural Resources, or related field
- Must have 10 or more years of relevant experience in natural resources consulting, environmental permitting, or ecological restoration
- Proven ability to develop business and maintain client relationships in the Texas market
- Management or supervisory experience
- Strong working knowledge of Clean Water Act Section 404/401, Endangered Species Act, and other relevant regulations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Salary : $115,000 - $165,000
