ECS is seeking a Cyber Technical Director to work in our Falls Church, VA office.
We are seeking a highly skilled Federal Cyber Technical Leader with a strong background in program and/or project management, solution design, and system architecture to support federal government consulting efforts. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in leading enterprise cybersecurity and IT solutions, developing technical strategies, and managing large-scale federal programs.
This role requires expertise in designing and implementing enterprise solutions for federal agencies, aligning technology with mission objectives, and fostering stakeholder collaboration. The candidate should be comfortable presenting complex technical concepts to both technical and executive audiences, ensuring alignment with federal cybersecurity frameworks, and leading multidisciplinary teams to success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and lead enterprise IT and cybersecurity solutions that align with federal government requirements and mission objectives.
- Oversee technical teams, ensuring timely execution of cybersecurity and IT programs in compliance with federal guidelines.
- Provide strategic technical direction, mentoring teams in best practices for system architecture, cybersecurity, and cloud computing.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to federal customers, translating business requirements into actionable technical solutions.
- Support federal business development efforts, including opportunity identification, solution strategy, and proposal development.
- Ensure solutions align with NIST, FISMA, Zero Trust, and other federal security frameworks.
- Work with executive leadership, engineers, and process SMEs to refine and implement technical strategies.
- Identify opportunities for operational efficiency and technological advancements within federal IT environments.
- 7 years of experience as a technical lead, solution architect, or senior engineer in federal IT programs ($50M contract value).
- Demonstrated experience in systems engineering, cybersecurity architecture, cloud infrastructure, and networking in federal environments.
- Strong understanding of Zero Trust, cloud security, and federal cybersecurity compliance requirements.
- Hands-on experience developing and implementing IT solutions, including proof-of-concept development and prototyping.
- 5 years leading technical teams (10 team members) in federal contract delivery.
- Strong program and project management skills, including Agile methodologies (SAFe), traditional project management (PMP preferred), and risk management.
- Ability to develop and execute technical roadmaps and strategies.
- Experience working within federal agencies, particularly DHS, DoD, or other national security sectors.
- Strong business acumen in identifying technical solutions that align with federal mission objectives.
- Proven track record of presenting technical solutions to C-suite executives, government officials, and technical stakeholders.
- 2 years of experience supporting federal capture and proposal efforts, including solutioning for large-scale cybersecurity and IT initiatives.
- Experience developing technical pricing strategies, teaming agreements, and statements of work (SOWs).
