Key Responsibilities:
- Organise and manage monthly religious education and sacramental preparation classes
- Recruit, support, and guide volunteer catechists and staff
- Deliver lessons where needed and ensure continuity of teaching
- Plan key events such as Christmas programmes and Vacation Bible School
- Maintain accurate records, schedules, and attendance reports
- Prepare newsletters, bulletins, and community communications
- Manage programme resources, supplies, and budgets in line with guidelines
- Attend meetings and work closely with chapel leadership and committees
- Ensure all activities meet Catholic liturgical norms and compliance requirements
The Person:
- Hold a degree in education, theology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Be an approved Catechist with the Archdiocese for the Military Services
- Have at least two years’ experience in education, administration, or programme coordination
- Be confident using Microsoft Office and online communication tools
- Communicate clearly and work well within a diverse, interfaith environment
- Be organised, reliable, and comfortable managing multiple tasks
