Overall Responsibilities

- Schedules of trucks with appropriate lead times
- Plans work/pick up times to avoid detention charges
- Calculates freight charges for shipments
- Using computer to print orders and labels to prepare product for shipping
- Completes/maintains shipping documents and reports
- Assures compliance with customer’s shipping requirements
- Performs cycle counts
- Preparation of customs documentation for international shipments.
- File daily shipment documentation.
- Perform daily shipment audits.
- Completes other duties as assigned.
- Customer service/satisfaction
- Accuracy/ Attention to detail
- Communication and Reporting
- Ability to work independently and with others to complete shipping process
- Must possess excellent communication skills
- Must possess excellent math, accounting, and reporting skills
- Ability to interface with various levels of management and production personnel
- Working knowledge of computer programs (i.e. MS Word, Excel, etc.)
- Ability to multi-task and adapt to a constantly changing environment
- High School or GED
- 2 years’ experience
- Forklift experience preferred
