Location: Caddo Mills, TX
Salary range: $17.75 to $20.00
This position is responsible for the overall operation of all product line machinery systems which consist of the Prequalifying System, Mill System 2, Mill System 3, Liberator Line System, Granulation System, Packaging Line System and Roto-Grind System. Operator must ensure high quality standards for product and WIP material and demonstrate the ability to meet deadlines in a safe manner. These product line systems function in the same capacity of cleaning, sizing and refining raw material per customer order, but each of them processes a different product. Additional responsibilities will include: computer touch screen set-ups and adjustments, performing mandatory equipment and material inspections including quality control sieve analysis for each product, bulk density testing, getting flow rates, jockeying trailers to and from the docks, lift truck and skid steer loader operation, general equipment preventive maintenance, all production line related documentation including inventory, data entry, assistance with creating SOP, cross-training into other job functions as needed and performing housekeeping activities including use of compressed air system to clean de-stoner, gravity table decks and air filters. This position requires routine attendance to departmental, production, safety and Company meetings.

Operate All Production Machinery Line Systems With Minimal Supervision
- Conduct visual inspections of machinery and perform general preventive maintenance
- Setup, operate, troubleshoot, adjust settings and maintain line machinery processes using computer touch screen pads, control panels and mechanical practices
- Perform required quality ASTM sieve testing on all products and continually check materials throughout the manufacturing processes for foreign contaminates
- Perform all production related documentation, data entry and inventory
- Understand and perform all required proper customer packaging
- Perform bulk density tests and flow rates of different products

Operate forklift/skid loader equipment to move and transport raw material:
- PM’s must be filled out at the beginning of every shift
- Lifts and loaders must be blown out no less than two times/shift
- Check for wheel chocks and trailer stands before entering a trailer
- Ensure loaders are fueled up and vacuumed out at the end of each shift

6S Organization/Housekeeping
- Organize work area on a continual basis in order to maintain a safe, efficient, productive and clean work environment by using air wands, vacuums, brooms and shovels
- Participate in departmental 6S program and complete assigned tasks effectively and efficiently
- Empty wood, trash and/or cardboard dumpsters in assigned work areas when full
- Keep shovels, brooms, rakes, garden hoes, squeegees, trash cans, dump tubs, and tool box in designated area
- Ensure work area is blown down and cleared so sweeper can access area; if sweeper is not running, blow machines out and sweep up with brooms
- Prep and clean all walking floors when they come back from Lancaster or from being repaired

- Responsible for communicating changes in production and/or quality of product to shift/department Lead person
- Submit work orders to Maintenance team; demonstrate ability to explain maintenance issues and troubleshoot general mechanical issues if Supervisor or Lead is unavailable

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities Required
- High School Diploma/GED or 4 years of machine operator/manufacturing experience required
- English fluency (read, write, speak)
- Past manufacturing experience operating equipment of similar complexity preferred
- A minimum of 6-months powered industrial truck experience required
- Front end loader experience preferred
- Proven ability to multitask in a stressful environment (dirty, confined spaces, strict timelines, etc.), attention to detail, and adapt to changing demands
- Read and understand units of measure
- Ability to perform basic math functions
- Demonstrated comfort with data entry and basic computer skills; ERP experience preferred
- Must be safety conscious and carry out work responsibilities in a safe manner
- Must be able to work overtime to meet operational requirements
- Able to safely perform related physical requirements/demands of the role
- Valid driver’s license preferred (must have in order to jockey trailers)
