Job Summary

Principal Duties And Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day support to the CE/Sales/Procurement to ensure proper selection of transportation modes or Logistics services for inbound and outbound shipments
- Obtain freight quotes for all domestic and international customer shipments
- Coordinate business and customer deliveries in a timely manner to ensure customer and company requirements are met or exceeded
- Ensure maximum efficiencies and optimization in moving freight
- Troubleshoots and proactively resolves shipment discrepancies and managed freight claim process
- Coordinates International Shipping with CX Account Manager to determine size and quantity for each International Order being shipped. Request and obtain International Freight Quotes for International Orders based on Incoterms requested. Work with Tradewin to complete AES filings (Export Filings) and CARM filings (Canadian Exports). Research and implement broker for Canadian Shipments. Set up Fedex Account access for International Orders and work with Fedex to set up air and ocean shipments when rates are competitive.
- Develop and measure key performance indicators such as on-time delivery. Perform freight financial analysis and identify ways to reduce expenses Analyze and recommend adjustments to tier and zone freight pricing and own ensuring data is maintained inside of the system to support requirements
- Manage customer freight quote inbox, including volume, responses, and quote to load conversions
- Assist management in negotiating contracts and pricing with service providers. Participate and provide input carrier contract negotiations
- Analyze and optimize logistical procedures and create SOP’s
- Serve as the primary point of contact for service providers
- Learn about latest trends in industry, keep up-to-date with current events and stay abreast of emerging technologies and communicate relevant information to management and teams
- High School Diploma or GED is required; Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics or Business preferred
- 5 years of experience in inventory, logistics, warehousing, and/or shipping/receiving required, prior international logistic experience preferred
- Must display a strong work ethic and strong problem-solving skills (including identification, fact gathering and recommendation of solutions)
- Must be proficient in the use of computer software to include Word, Excel and Outlook
- Experience using ERP or WMS preferred
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail required
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills a must
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Understands and utilizes effective transportation tools (i.e. load configurator)

- Manufacturing Environment: This position may operate in a manufacturing setting with conditions of high-pressure air/steam/gas, hazardous gas/chemical fumes, extreme heat and temperature variations, loud noise, exposure to dangerous machinery, dirty work environment and/or exposure to dust (pigment). The position is required to wear PPE including, but not limited to safety glasses, steel toe/composite boots and earplugs.
