We are looking for a Stick Welder to help us expand operations in our Stockdale Texas Facility
Key Job Elements
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding symbols to determine job requirements.
- Set up and operate SMAW (stick) welding equipment safely and efficiently.
- Fabricate, assemble, and repair metal structures and components according to specifications.
- Inspect completed welds to ensure structural soundness and dimensional accuracy.
- Select proper electrodes and welding techniques for various materials and thicknesses.
- Maintain welding equipment, tools, and workspace in compliance with safety and 5S standards.
- Collaborate with supervisors and quality inspectors to address non-conformances.
- Follow company safety guidelines, lockout/tagout procedures, and PPE requirements.
- Assist with continuous improvement and process enhancement efforts.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 1-2 years of experience in stick (SMAW) welding within a manufacturing or fabrication environment preferred.
- Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and fabrication drawings.
- Proficiency in using welding and cutting equipment safely and effectively.
- Certification or qualification in welding preferred (AWS D1.1 or equivalent).
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail, quality, and safety.
- Excellent work ethic, reliability, and teamwork skills.
