OEM, Inc. is seeking an experienced and dependable Welder to join our manufacturing team in San Antonio, Texas. This position requires proficiency in both MIG and TIG welding.
Applicants should be comfortable performing both processes regularly, with TIG welding on aluminum being used more frequently in our day-to-day production. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, pays attention to detail, and can reliably produce clean, consistent, high-quality welds.
Responsibilities
- Perform MIG and TIG welding as required for daily production
- Weld and fabricate components according to drawings, measurements, and specifications
- Produce clean, consistent, and structurally sound welds
- Fit, position, and assemble components prior to welding
- Measure and verify parts using common measuring tools
- Grind, clean, prep, and finish welded components when necessary
- Inspect completed work for accuracy, appearance, and quality
- Operate welding and fabrication equipment safely
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Work with other members of the manufacturing team to complete projects efficiently
- Follow company safety procedures and production standards
Qualifications
- Proficiency in both MIG and TIG welding
- Previous professional welding or fabrication experience preferred
- Ability to consistently produce clean and controlled welds
- Ability to read measurements and work from drawings or fabrication instructions
- Experience with common metal fabrication tools and equipment
- Good attention to detail and workmanship
