Warehouse Shipping Clerk

We are seeking a Shipping Clerk to join our business-to-business distribution team. This is a full-time position with benefits, in our company of only 35 total employees. To be considered for this role, the applicant must have solid experience shipping small and large packages via UPS, Fedex, and LTL carriers. This includes attention to detail, using software tools, obtaining comparative freight rates, prompt responses to staff who are waiting on such findings to provide pricing to our customers. Be sure to emphasize these points in the resume you send to us. Applicants who do not show strength in knowledge and experience in the described shipping function, will not be considered. Secondarily, the candidate we are seeking should have general warehouse skills. While the described shipping skills are mandatory, shipping is only part of the job. The balance is in general warehouse functions: receiving, put-aways, labeling, picking, packing, palletizing, loading trucks, etc. You will operate forklifts, order pickers, reach trucks, and pallet jacks.  Again, this is secondary.  We are only seeking candidates with the requisite SHIPPING SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE described above. We currently have two overlapping shifts – Early morning to mid-afternoon, and mid-morning to early evening. Some overtime opportunities. Almost never weekend or night work. We offer a competitive wage and full benefits. More than half of our people have been with us over ten years. Salary : $25 - $26
