Position Title: Recruitment Intern
Hours: Part-time internship, approximately 15 hours per week. This is a hybrid opportunity, the intern may work remotely up to half the time, with the option to work in person at either our Brighton, MA or Boston Seaport office locations.
Duration: Fall 2025 through end of Winter 2026

ABOUT THE ROLE:
EMPath is seeking a Recruitment Intern to join our People & Culture team. This part-time internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in human resources, with a focus on recruitment, HR administration, and special HR projects. The intern will support efforts to attract, engage, and onboard diverse, mission-driven talent while gaining exposure to nonprofit HR operations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Recruitment Support
- Assist with posting job openings on various job boards and EMPath’s career site.
- Review applications, screen resumes, and help coordinate interviews.
- Support candidate communication, including scheduling and follow-up correspondence.
- Participate in maintaining recruitment databases and tracking candidate progress.
HR Administration
- Assist in maintaining employee and applicant records with confidentiality and accuracy.
- Support new hire onboarding activities, including preparation of materials and orientation logistics.
- Help with documentation, filing, and organization of digital HR records.
Special HR Projects
- Collaborate with the People & Culture team on ongoing HR initiatives and process improvement projects.
- Conduct research and assist with data analysis on topics such as recruitment trends, employee engagement, and diversity and inclusion.
- Support internal communications related to HR programs and initiatives.
SKILLS:
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook); familiarity with HR or applicant tracking systems a plus but not required.
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
- Interest in human resources, recruitment, and nonprofit operations.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Collaborative and proactive attitude with a willingness to learn.
