Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning of all designated areas, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and surface sanitation to maintain hygiene standards.
• Implement cleaning and sanitation procedures according to established protocols, ensuring safety and cleanliness at all times.
• Operate cleaning equipment including vacuums, carpet cleaners, floor buffers, and other janitorial tools with proper manual handling techniques.
• Maintain floor care through sweeping, scrubbing, polishing, and applying appropriate cleaning detergents for different surfaces.
• Ensure all surfaces are cleaned thoroughly—kitchen counters, bathroom fixtures, furniture—using suitable cleaning agents.
• Follow time management practices to complete daily duties efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards.

Skills

• Proven experience in residential or commercial cleaning environments with janitorial or custodial background preferred.
• Strong knowledge of cleaning procedures, sanitation standards, and the safe use of cleaning detergents and equipment.
• Skilled in floor cleaning techniques including carpet cleaning, floor polishing, and floor care maintenance.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling supplies or moving furniture during deep cleans.
• Time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively throughout the workday.
• Familiarity with hotel housekeeping standards or hospitality industry experience is advantageous.
• Knowledge of proper manual handling techniques to prevent injury during heavy lifting or repetitive tasks.
• Attention to detail in dusting, surface sanitation, and overall cleanliness to ensure a spotless environment at all times.
