Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages with precision and flair, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Greet guests warmly, take orders accurately, and provide personalized recommendations based on preferences.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including glassware, tools, and supplies.
- Handle cash transactions efficiently using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring accurate cash handling and register balancing.
- Monitor guest behavior to promote responsible drinking and adhere to all food safety and alcohol service regulations.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food service during busy hours, including banquet or catering events.
- Manage time effectively during peak hours to serve multiple tables while maintaining high standards of customer service.
- Stay informed about menu updates, drink recipes, and current promotions to enhance guest engagement.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a bartender in fine dining establishments, nightclubs, or banquet settings is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for efficient order processing and cash handling.
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards, food handling procedures, and responsible alcohol service practices.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and handle diverse situations professionally.
- Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail.
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling, retail math understanding for sales transactions, and food industry knowledge.
- Experience with serving at large events like banquets or catering is a plus.
- Knowledge of beverage brewing techniques or hospitality industry standards is advantageous.
