Job Title: Shipping/Receiving ClerkLocation: Naugatuck, CT 06770Duration: 10 Months (high possibility for Temp-to-Hire)Shift: 7am-3:30pm EST M-F SUMMARY• Receives and unpacks materials and supplies.• Checks receipts against purchase order for proper shipment, shortages, damages or defects. Expedites material to proper department or storage location.• Adheres to safety and company policies and procedures.• Coordinates the handling of export documentation required for outbound shipments including customer information, shipment details, bill of lading instructions, transportation details, and invoices.• Assembles orders, checks against shipping or customer order, and reports shortages and incomplete orders.• Other duties as assignedEXPERIENCE/REQUIREMENTS• Strong attention to detail for accuracy• Excellent communication and organizational skills• Basic math and computer literacy• Problem-solving abilities• The capacity to work independently or as part of a team.• Valid drivers licenseEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:• Minimum High school diploma or general education degree (GED• 0-2 years of experience in a Shipping/Receiving environment
