What are the responsibilities and job description for the Phone Operator position at Ecodrive Auto Group?
Overview
We are seeking a customer service oriented phone operator. A good candidate for this role will be comfortable with both fast-paced action serving our customers, and slower paced times assisting office staff with record keeping. This is an excellent opportunity for those who enjoy engaging with diverse clients and are comfortable speaking on the phone.
Compensation for this role is hourly based on experience.
The schedule for this role is full time with 32 hours a week (4 days, 9 hour shift with an hour for lunch) and the opportunity for 40 hours depending on aptitude for additional responsibilites. We are closed Sundays, Saturday is a rotating solo shift.
Responsibilities
- Make and maintain a positive first impression with those calling in. An operator is often the first voice a customer hears!
- Assist customers with basic questions about store location, department hours, services available
- Appropriately direct calls for further inquiries or assistance
- Address inquiries promptly, maintain professional etiquette
- Assist with record keeping for customer interactions and transactions
- Maintain dealership spaces to ensure a cleanly and welcoming environment
Requirements
- Strong communication skills
- Willing to learn and grow through training and feedback from managers
- At least 18 years of age
- Valid drivers license with favorable motor vehicle record
- Authorized to work in the United States
Preferred
- 6 months of customer service, food service, call center, or similar customer facing role
- Multilingual or bilingual with English, French, or Spanish
- Demonstrated organizational and/or time management skills necessary for managing multiple prospects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail

Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour
