This is a full-time, on-site position for a Chemical Operator located in Parkersburg, WV. The Chemical Operator will be responsible for tasks related to chemical handling, operating processing equipment, monitoring distillation processes, and maintaining safety standards. Additional responsibilities include performing quality control checks and adhering to operational protocols to ensure production efficiency and product reliability.
- Experience in Chemical Handling and a strong understanding of safety regulations in a chemical manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of the Chemical Industry and chemical processing equipment operations
- Proficiency in Chemical Processing, including an understanding of chemical reactions and material handling
- Experience with Distillation processes and associated equipment
- Familiarity with Quality Control procedures to ensure product consistency and adherence to standards
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety protocols
- A high school diploma or equivalent; further technical education or certifications in chemical processing are a plus
- Physical ability to perform tasks including lifting, standing for long periods, and working in varying conditions
- Prior experience in the specialty chemicals industry is an advantage
