Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and reliable individual to join our sprinkler pipe fabrication shop. No prior experience is necessary, as we provide on-the-job training. This role is ideal for someone with strong mechanical aptitude, a willingness to learn, and a commitment to safety and quality. You will play a key role in fabricating and assembling sprinkler pipe systems for commercial and industrial projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a pipe threading machine to cut and thread sprinkler pipes according to specifications.
- Apply pipe dope (thread sealant) and wrap pipe threads with tape to ensure leak-free connections.
- Assemble pipe fittings using hand and power tools, ensuring proper alignment and secure connections.
- Inspect fabricated pipes and fittings for quality and compliance with project requirements.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols per Cal/OSHA standards.
- Assist with material handling, inventory, and other shop tasks as needed.
- Operate a forklift.
- Delivering material to job sites, Locally, Central valley and Bay Area.
Qualifications
- All applicants must be at least age 18 (21 if your duties include delivery)
- No experience required—we provide comprehensive training.
- Mechanical Aptitude: Ability to understand and work with tools, machinery, and mechanical processes.
- Valid Driver’s License: Must have a clean and valid driver’s license (no suspensions or major violations).
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks.
- Work Ethic: Reliable, punctual, and eager to learn with a team-oriented mindset.
- Safety Awareness: Commitment to following safety guidelines, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required by Cal/OSHA (Title 8, Section 3380).
Work Schedule
- Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM or as scheduled.
- Occasional overtime may be available based on project demands.
