What are the responsibilities and job description for the ETP Scrubber Helper position at Eco-Bat Technologies LTD?
I. POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Employee works with operator or assistant operator at E.T.P, Scrubber, and SRF Scrubber Systems. The main responsibility is to ensure that plant air emissions, wash down, process solutions, and storm waters are within environmental guidelines before discharging to the town sewer, Crystallizer or air. Shares responsibility for the neutralization process, effluents and the proper disposal of reacted components.
II. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Operates pumps, valves, conveyors, controls, meters, gauges and all equipment associated with the processes. Collects and analyzes various samples along the process, observes variations in operating conditions and interprets instrument readings and test results to make necessary control adjustments to maintain a safe, efficient, and environmentally compliant operation while producing quality product.
- Monitors neutralization and filtration processes and makes necessary control adjustments to maintain an efficient and environmentally compliant operation.
- Maintains required daily shift reports, inspections, process logs, and production logs. Assure that materials are contained and cleaned up to minimize spread until repairs are made. Report materials as they are used, to keep materials in stock.
- Operates mobile equipment including MC Cart and Forklift.
- Report missing or damaged environmental signs and see to it that they are replaced.
- Assure that backup is assigned to complete inspection if primary inspector is absent and ensure the deficiencies are noted and corrective measures documented on the forms.
- Keeps work area neat, clean, and free of debris and obstacles.
- All EHS issues must be resolved immediately by both addressing the situation and notifying the supervisor.
- Other duties and systems as assigned.
III. PRE-HIRE REQUIREMENTS:
- Possess a valid US Driver’s License
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Experience working in industrial environment.
- High School Diploma or GED
- Able to perform physical labor.
- Ability to retain information and training pertinent to the department.
- Authorization to work in the United States
