What are the responsibilities and job description for the Valuation Consultant position at Eclipse Recruiting Solutions?
Our client is a financial services entity seeking to hire a valuation professional to work on complex financial instruments, with a focus on structured products (ABS, CLO, CDO, CMBS, RMBS, loans, and others).
This specialty group rolls up to the larger valuation group, which has almost tripled in size over the last three years and continues to grow, remaining one of the market leaders in the space. Clients you will work with include highly respected PE, BDC, Hedge funds, publicly traded, and private funds.
The job will involve working as part of a best-in-class team, delving into various financial models used to value these instruments in accordance with ASC 820, interacting with clients, and preparing valuation reports and presentations.
You will gain exposure to a range of new and hot complex securities, investment strategies, and the financial markets as a whole.
Requirements:
- 1-3 years, 4-6 years for associates, 7 for VPs
- Currently working at a valuation firm, Big 4, asset manager, or other advisory firm
- Must have experience in the valuation of structured products as listed above
- Proficient in Excel-based financial modeling
- All in compensation ranges: analyst = 150k, associate = 200-250k, VP's > 300k
