Essential Functions:

1. Ensure that the customer is the #1 priority and that every guest is treated accordingly.
2. Manage the first 5 Moments of Magic:
3. Your section – clean and presentable
4. Your tables – cleaned and well stocked
5. Your guests food – cooked how they ordered it & presented properly
6. The check – accurate and delivered timely
7. Last impression – hand out coupons/information and invite them back
   1. Communicate with Restaurant Manager.
   2. Take reservations over the phone or personally.
   3. Greet every customer within 5 feet with at least friendly eye contact.
   4. Escort customers to their table.
   5. Present menus to patrons and answer questions about menu items, making recommendations.
   6. Inform customers of the daily special.
   7. Serve food and or beverages to patrons.
   8. Frequently check back with patrons assuring their meal and experience is perfect.
   9. Remove dishes and glasses from tables.
   10. Prepare checks that itemize and total meal costs and sales tax.
   11. Stock service areas with supplies such as drink station,
   12. Handle cash, check, credit card and gift certificate payments
   13. Answer customers questions and provide accurate information
   14. Maintain clean and orderly work stations.
   15. Perform all sidework assigned and help other when they need my help to ensure the restaurant runs smoothly and professionally.
   16. Take all completed food orders out in the window, even if they are not my own.
   17. Resolve customer complaints
   18. Communicate with other restaurant staff
   19. Performs other duties as needed or assigned

Physical/Visual Activities or Demands:

1. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, climb, stoop and crouch, push, pull, reach, grasp, feel, talk and hear.
2. Generally light physical effort.  The employee is required to lift more than 50 lbs. rarely and/or 5 to 25 lbs. occasionally.
3. Specific vision abilities required by this job include clarity of vision at a distance of 20 inches or less with the ability to judge distance and space relationships along with adjusting the eye to bring objects into sharp focus.

Environmental/Atmospheric Conditions:  Environmental and atmospheric conditions commonly associated with the performance of the functions of this job.  Good working conditions.

Knowledge/Experience:  Job requires a high school diploma or GED; at least 6 months of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities

Skills and Abilities:  This may be representative but not all inclusive of those commonly associated with this position.
