ECI is seeking a motivated, dependable professional to support the company’s operational improvement and strategic growth initiatives. This position is designed for someone with strong research, communication, organization, and relationship-building abilities who is interested in developing a career in operations and federal contracting.
Primary Responsibilities
- Research federal contracting opportunities aligned with ECI’s capabilities and HUBZone status.
- Research prospective clients and potential teaming partners.
- Assist with outreach and relationship development within the federal sector.
- Support opportunity qualification, capture planning, and proposal-development activities.
- Maintain organized records of opportunities, contacts, deadlines, and follow-up activities.
- Conduct scheduled assessments of ECI’s dining-facility operations.
- Identify opportunities for improvement and assist with developing operational programs, procedures, and standards.
- Present findings and recommendations to ECI leadership and operational management.
Business-development activities will be the position’s primary focus. Operational assessments will be scheduled and project-based; responsibility for daily operations will remain with ECI’s existing management team.
Qualifications
- Professional experience in one or more of the following areas is preferred: food service, hospitality, operations, federal contracting, business development, or a related field.
- Strong research, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
- Professional and confident when communicating with clients, business partners, and company leadership.
- Sound judgment and the ability to identify practical solutions.
- Self-motivated, organized, dependable, and capable of working independently.
- Willingness to learn ECI’s operations and the federal contracting process.
- Ability to travel approximately 20% for operational assessments, client meetings, conferences, and partner-development activities.
