Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Fire Sprinkler Piping Installer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, fabricating, and maintaining fire sprinkler piping systems across various construction sites. Your expertise in pipefitting, welding, and technical drawing interpretation will ensure the safe and efficient installation of sprinkler systems that meet all safety standards and industry codes. Responsibilities
- Read and interpret construction plans, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately install fire sprinkler piping systems.
- Cut, thread, assemble, and install piping using hand tools, power tools, and pipe threading equipment in accordance with blueprints and specifications.
- Perform welding tasks including MIG welding, FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), TIG welding, and pipe welding to join pipes securely while adhering to NFPA standards and ASME codes.
- Fabricate pipe sections through bending, soldering, and other fabrication techniques to fit designated spaces precisely.
- Ensure all installations comply with safety regulations by following strict safety protocol adherence during all phases of work.
- Maintain detailed records of installation processes, inspection reports, and quality control documentation.
- Collaborate with team members to rig materials safely, interpret technical schematics accurately, and execute tasks efficiently on construction sites.
Experience
- Proven experience in pipefitting or plumbing within construction or manufacturing environments.
- Skilled in MIG welding, FCAW, TIG welding, pipe welding, soldering, and tube bending techniques.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of sprinkler systems, HVAC components, pipeline assembly, and plumbing fundamentals.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, construction plans, and technical drawings with confidence.
- Familiarity with NFPA standards for fire protection systems and ASME codes & standards related to piping fabrication.
- Hands-on experience with power tools such as calipers, pipe threaders, rigging equipment, and other hand tools required for precise installation.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations necessary during fabrication and installation processes.
- Knowledge of safety regulations specific to construction sites including power tool safety and hazard prevention measures.
- Construction site experience with a focus on fire sprinkler fitting or related trades is highly desirable.
