Duties
- Perform lawn mowing, edging, trimming, and fertilization to ensure healthy, lush lawns.
- Maintain gardens by planting flowers, shrubs, trees, and other greenery with precision and care.
- Operate hand tools such as shovels, rakes, pruners, and hoes efficiently for landscape projects.
- Use power tools including trimmers, blowers, and chainsaws safely to shape and maintain outdoor spaces.
- Conduct landscape maintenance tasks such as aeration, mulching, and irrigation system installation or repair.
- Operate heavy machinery like excavators for larger construction or hardscape projects.
- Prune trees and perform tree care including trimming and removal to promote safety and health.
- Install hardscape features such as patios, walkways, retaining walls, and other structures with precision.
- Assist with landscaping design ideas and execute projects that enhance the overall aesthetic appeal of outdoor areas.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to landscaping equipment and tools.
- Experience in lawn care, gardening, landscape maintenance, and horticulture practices.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and heavy machinery such as excavators.
- Knowledge of irrigation systems installation and troubleshooting.
- Ability to perform tree care including trimming, pruning, and health assessment.
- Familiarity with construction techniques related to hardscape features like patios or retaining walls.
- Excellent understanding of landscaping principles combined with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various weather conditions.
