Medical Accounts Receivable Specialist

The Medical Accounts Receivable Specialist plays a critical role in managing the financial processes related to patient billing and insurance claims within a small team environment. This position focuses on ensuring timely invoice processing, accurate payment posting, and effective account reconciliation while working primarily with healthcare payment software such as Athena, Eclinical, Bill.com, and QuickBooks Online. The specialist supports collections management and reporting tasks, collaborating internally without direct patient interaction or travel requirements.

Responsibilities

• Process invoices and post payments accurately
• Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies
• Manage insurance claim submissions and follow-ups
• Oversee collections and handle overdue accounts
• Generate regular financial and accounts receivable reports
• Perform precise data entry related to billing and payments

• 1 years experience in medical accounts receivable
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Healthcare Management
• Knowledge of medical billing and accounts receivable processes
• Experience with insurance claims processing
• Proficiency in billing software (Athena, Eclinical, Bill.com, QuickBooks Online)
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
