Staffing Coordinator

Aurora on France is seeking a Staffing Coordinator for our Skilled Nursing Community (Transitional Care units, Long Term Care) in Edina, Minnesota! This scheduling role takes ownership of all scheduling, payroll, and administrative tasks within the nursing department.

This schedule includes;

• 80 hours every two weeks
• Day shift
• Monday - Friday
• No weekends

Job Responsibilities:
• Maintain nursing staffing schedule:
o Updates master nursing schedules in computer as needed
o Communicates staffing schedule changes
o Communicates open positions and takes necessary steps to fill positions promptly
o Knowledge and understanding of overtime and bonuses per facility protocol, policies, and Administration direction
• Coordinate and manage staffing procedures and scheduling of nursing personnel
o Develops a bi-weekly and daily schedule under the direction of the DON and according to pre-established time frames
o Determines PPL eligibility and grants or denies based on facility policy
o Determines staffing needs/open positions
o Approves/denies employees schedule exchange
o Minimizes temporary agency usage by posting needs/open positions lists on a timely basis, utilizing an availability list, and calling our own employees before contacting a temporary staffing agency
o Processes timecards assuring that time punches match each employee's schedule
o Notifies DON of status changes and permanent schedule change request
• Document attendance/tardiness reports, notifying supervisors of individuals requiring disciplinary action
o Maintains master attendance file
o Reports attendance issues to appropriate supervisor
o Monitors status of on call and pool employees if applicable
o Notifies DON of employee attendance concerns
• Other duties as assigned and directed:
o Assists staff development with mandatory meeting, on site orientation and education, set up of phone calls and scheduling

Preferred:
• Vocational/Technical Training or Associate Degree
• Other License/Certification: Health Unit Coordinator training
• One to three years of experience
• MS Office experience

An individual's pay rate within the posted range may be determined by various factors, including skills, knowledge, relevant education, experience, and market conditions. Additionally, our organization prioritizes pay equity and considers internal team equity when making any offer. Hiring at the maximum of the range is not typical. If your role is eligible for a sign-on bonus, the bonus program that is approved and in place at the time of offer, is what will be honored.
