Resident Transport Specialist

Ebenezer is looking for a Resident Transport Specialist to join our team at the Ebenezer corporate office in Edina, MN! This position is responsible for developing and delivering a consistent, safety-focused training program for community drivers who operate community bus/vans within Ebenezer settings. This role ensures that all drivers are equipped with the skills, knowledge, and professionalism required to transport residents and volunteers reliably and compassionately. The Resident Transport Specialist will ensure best practices and trains community drivers to help maintain a high-quality transportation experience.

This transport specialist schedule includes;

• On Call/Casual position
• Day shift available
• No weekends

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a standardized training curriculum for new bus/van drivers, including classroom instruction and hands-on driving evaluation and practice. 
•  Educate employees on vehicle operation, safety protocols, defensive driving techniques, and emergency procedures.
• Conduct evaluations and ride-alongs to assess driver performance and reinforce best practices.
• Maintain training records for employees that have been trained.
•  Collaborate with sites and managers to schedule onboarding sessions.
•  Provide refresher courses to existing staff to maintain program consistency.

Required Qualifications:

• Special Transportation Services (STS) Driver Certification Upon Hire
• Medical Exam Certification Upon Hire
• Drivers License in good standing Upon Hire
• Must be at least 18-years old
• Must be insurable under the employers Auto Insurance Coverage

Preferred Qualifications:

• 3 years Experience in transportation
• 1 year  Training experience

This position provides one flat hourly rate, with regular reviews to ensure competitiveness with themarket. If your role is eligible for a sign-on bonus, the bonus program that is approved and in place at the time of offer, is what will be honored.
