What are the responsibilities and job description for the Registered Nurse Triage - RN position at Ebenezer?
Ebenezer is looking for a Casual Registered Nurse Triage - RN to join our team! This position provides Registered Nurse virtual support to Assisted Living site staff during off-hours when there is not a nurse in the building. This position is an on-call fully remote position for afterhours needs in Assisted Living. Shifts are 7 days a week from 5pm-8am as well as weekends from 8am-5pm. Position includes a base rate of pay in addition to pay per number of calls. This nursing schedule includes;
- On call/Casual
- Day/Evening/Overnight
- Includes every other weekend & holiday rotation

- Provides nursing coverage in a triage nurse on-call capacity
- Ensures support/response to client’s health related situations for staff, client, and family 24 hours a day through phone triage
- Ensures appropriate communications between staff, family, and providers to coordinate client health needs as assessed in the triage on-call role
- Ensures appropriate triage phone assessment, direction, and action for clients medical situations based on information provided by caller
- Directs on-call visit nurse to make onsite visits as determined by triage assessment
- Provides nursing triage on-call coverage for single or multiple assisted living buildings as assigned
- Follows triage nurse on-call assignment expectations
Required:
- Vocational/Technical Training or Associate Degree - Nursing
- RN Licensure/Registered with the MN Board of Nursing
- RN Licensure/Registered with the WI Board of Nursing (required within 90-days of hire)
- One to three years of previous experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
Preferred:
- Bachelor's Degree: List - Nursing
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Health Care Provider from American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
- Three to five years of previous experience
- Proficient in Eldermark Computer Documentation Software
- Prior supervisory experience
- Prior experience in home care or assisted living environment
