Activities Assistant

The Life Enrichment Assistant (Activities Assistant) role supports the planning and implementation of quality leisure/social events program designed to assist senior Assisted Living and Memory Care residents in maintaining their personal potential physically, socially and mentally. This position includes:

• 57 hours every pay period:
  • Sunday - Tuesday 9:00am-5:00pm
  • Saturday 10:00am-3:30pm
• Day shift hours
• Holidays as needed

Job Duties:

• Coordinates leisure programs, activities, exercise classes, and special events for older adults in an assisted living residence
• Encourages resident participation, reports changes in residents mood and physical status
• Promotes independence and helps develop socialization
• May help escort residents to activities outside of senior living community
• Other duties as assigned by Activities Director

Qualifications:
Required:

• Drivers License Current Driver's License in good standing required if the employee will be driving the company van/bus. Not required if the employee will not be driving company vehicle.
• One year of experience in similar role - working with older adults, leading activities, or working in therapy/recreation role
• Working knowledge of basic Microsoft application

Preferred:

• High School Diploma or GED
• One to three years previous experience

Salary : $17 - $24
