The Supplier Development Engineer will coordinate with various departments to facilitate vendor sample orders and communications, manage on-time delivery and quality feedback. This role will build and maintain a winwin relationship with vendor contacts and solve new business day-to-day issues. This position will interact with our teams in Asia via email and phone and will require strong communication skills. The role will report to the Chief of Staff and is a combination of Supply Chain Engineering, Project Management, and Vendor Management.

Requirements

- Partner with internal and external stakeholders to support new product kick-off
- Maintain Inventory Management system with up-to-date pricing, minimum order quantities,
- weights, and dimension
- Consult with quality and other design engineers to ensure a successful product launch.
- Work directly with vendors to develop and implement sourcing strategies, release vendor orders,
- evaluate sample manufacturability, and communicate sample quality feedback
- Host quarterly reviews with key suppliers and new suppliers with on-time delivery performance, quality issues, and communication evaluation.
- Identify opportunities to improve new product on time performance, and constantly seek ways
- to optimize sample processes with changing business needs
- Solve problems related to New Products and New product feasibility
- Other duties as assigned
- Master's degree in supply chain engineering or 5 years of equivalent experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Business or Related Field
- Must be proficient in Thai Language (written and verbal)
- Outstanding interpersonal skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Self-starter with attention to detail and organizational skills
- Detail oriented and meticulous
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks throughout the workday
- Able to analyze data, find solutions and make a confident decision in a timely manner
- Capable of forming and maintaining strong relationships with vendors
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Microsoft Excel
- Manufacturing experience, particularly in molding and extruding technologies, as well as metal
- processing preferred but not required
