Identify, evaluate, and develop qualified manufacturing suppliers internationally (mainly in Asia).
Assess supplier capabilities based on manufacturing processes, equipment, capacity, quality systems, cost competitiveness, and delivery performance.
Support supplier qualification, audits, and ongoing performance evaluations.
Develop alternative sourcing strategies to improve cost competitiveness and reduce supply-chain risks.
Maintain and expand supplier capability databases and sourcing intelligence.
2. RFQ Management & Cost Analysis
Review engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements to determine appropriate manufacturing processes.
Coordinate RFQs with qualified suppliers and evaluate technical and commercial feasibility.
Analyze quotations, including material, tooling, casting, machining, heat treatment, finishing, and other cost drivers.
Identify cost-reduction opportunities through supplier comparisons, process optimization, and negotiations.

Work with suppliers to resolve manufacturing and quality issues while minimizing customer and delivery risks.
Support engineering change implementation and process validation.
4. Cross-Functional Project Execution
Collaborate closely with Sales, Engineering, Operations, and international suppliers.
Maintain ownership of assigned projects from initial sourcing through qualification and production readiness.
Identify risks early, recommend practical solutions, and ensure timely follow-through.
Provide clear, evidence-based recommendations rather than simply forwarding information or reporting problems.
Document lessons learned and contribute to organizational knowledge development.

Experience in supplier quotation evaluation, cost analysis, or supplier negotiations.
Working knowledge of manufacturing quality systems and structured problem-solving methods.
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to independently investigate issues, evaluate alternatives, and recommend solutions.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and other business applications.
Ability to coordinate effectively with international suppliers and cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with sand casting, investment casting, aluminum die casting, or precision machining.
Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, 8D, and ISO 9001 or IATF 16949 quality systems.
Experience working with OEM customers or Tier-1 suppliers.
Experience in global sourcing, particularly Asian manufacturing supply chains.
Familiarity with supplier audits, manufacturing cost breakdowns, and new product introduction.
Mandarin Chinese proficiency is a plus, but not required.
What Success Looks Like
A successful candidate will:
Develop qualified and competitive manufacturing resources.
Deliver well-supported supplier and sourcing recommendations.

Independently manage assigned sourcing and supplier improvement projects.
Build reusable technical and supplier knowledge that strengthens our global supply chain.
