Job Summary:
Eaton Research Labs (ERL) is currently looking for an Intern – DC Systems Controls to join our team in Golden CO. The primary role of this position is to support technology development and execution for R&D projects related to DC distribution systems and applications. The candidate is expected to work closely with our research engineers to develop models and methods for the efficient and stable operation of DC systems. This internship offers a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in modeling, control, and protection of DC systems and contribute to real-world projects.

In This Role You Will
- Collaborate with the research team in technology development and demonstration.
- Develop innovative control and protection methods for DC systems.
- Support implementing state-of-the-art concepts and solutions into quick prototypes, feasibility studies, specifications, and eventually into larger systems and product components.
- Investigate, integrate, and validate new product designs abiding by time-based milestones.
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
- Actively enrolled in a Master’s or PhD degree program in Electrical engineering or related field from an accredited institution.
- Experience in mathematical modeling of dynamical systems.
- Familiarity with analysis, control, and protection of power systems.
- Experience in mathematical modeling of power systems, including control and protection mechanisms.
- Experience in dynamical systems stability analysis.
- Experience in DC systems modeling.
- Experience using Python for power systems modeling.
