CNC & NC Machine Operator P&R - 2nd Shift

Eaton’s ES GEIS CHD division is currently seeking a CNC & NC Machine Operator P&R - 2nd Shift. The core hours are 2:30pm to 11:00pm The hourly rate for this position is $20.87 per hour.

What You’ll Do

• Set Up and operate NC and CNC machines and any conventional machines in the Casting Cells to perform a variety of turning, drilling, tapping, boring, reaming, threading, forming, facing, milling, slotting, grooving, chamfering, serrating and deburring operations to produce a variety of explosion-proof parts of various materials
• Operate machines include, but are not limited to, single spindle and multi-spindle drill presses and tappers; milling machines; parts washers; and deburring grinder
• Refer to assembly drawings, wiring diagrams and machining blueprints to maintain tolerances.
• Set controls and perform other manual data input functions as required, review operation data sheets, parts program, tape readouts and prints, and change collets and/or chucks; load and unload parts; load, unload and adjust tools as necessary
• Check first piece using fixed or adjustable gauges; gauge periodically and visually inspect all parts for appearance and compliance to specifications; correct for any discrepancies.
• Maintain a supply of materials to machines and remove finished work as necessary to establish a flow through the cells
• Operate fork truck to facilitate own work or to move material around department as required
• Maintain work area, machines and control units in a clean, neat and orderly condition and follow 5-S's principles
  
  
  

Qualifications

Basic (Required) Qualifications:

• A minimum of two (2) years’ previous work experience in drill press set up and CNC operation.

Preferred Qualification

• 3 years of work experience with NC & CNC machine setup and operation
