What are the responsibilities and job description for the Casual Environmental Services Custodian position at EATON RAPIDS MEDICAL CENTER?
- Follows housekeeping polices and procedures for mixing of chemicals, use of PPE, and handling of infectious waste.
- Cleans patient rooms and all other hospital areas and departments in accordance with department procedures and quality standards.
- Attends all required in-services, including Infection Control, safety, and scheduled department staff meetings.
- Cleans and maintains all carpets and hard floor surfaces.
- Accept and perform all job duties as assigned, facilitating changes in schedule when necessary.
- Demonstrates proper body mechanics when lifting or moving materials.
- Demonstrates proper handwashing and other infection control techniques.
- Identifies and properly disposes of regular, contaminated and recycle waste.
- Cleans and maintains all housekeeping equipment.
