P&R Setup and Operate (Group Leader) - 1st shift

Eaton’s ES GEIS CHD division is currently seeking a P&R Setup and Operate (Group Leader) - 1st shift. The hourly rate for this position is $26.47 per hour. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. ## What you’ll do: Perform all required group leader duties. Duties include but not limited to: * Assisting and instructing operators and setup personnel in trouble shooting, machining or setup issues, as necessary on all CNC and conventional machines. * Set up and operate equipment as needed. * Operate fork truck to facilitate own work or to move material around department as required. * Plan and arrange work for the group of P&R machining and P&R bar cell: LG5 operators and LG3’s setup employees. * Work from charts, manuals and drawings to determine proper parts necessary to meet production orders. * Sort and accumulate orders, including pre-kitting setups as needed. * Oversee all P&R personnel, and ensure that all necessary materials, stock, fixturing and documents are available to production personnel. * Refer all questionable cases to proper supervision. * Perform all duties of the group, as required. * Refer unusual conditions to supervisor. * Assist Supervisor in maintaining daily visual boards to ensure accuracy. * Help maintain machines and equipment in the work area in a clean and orderly condition. * Administer training of the 5S’s and training of total productive maintenance (TPM) of the machines, such as minor maintenance including cleaning, inspection, and minor lubrication. * Instruct employees on safety protocols on machining, as required. * Duties involve application of some specialized knowledge and experience and the use of judgment to make decisions and plan the sequence of manufacturing operations within the limits of standard methods and established precedent. * Adapt standard procedures and methods to meet new conditions. * Take direction from supervisor, to transfer these directions onto the floor, and work with planners, in relation to jobs needing completion and assigning personnel as needed. ## Qualifications: Requirements: • 1 year of previous experience working with CNC and familiarity with the machines • Ability to read blueprints and use calipers • Experience working with bar machines • High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) certificate. • Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future. No relocation benefit is offered for this position.
