Job Description
The Senior Private Events Manager focuses on private events in the Restaurants at an Eataly New York City location. This role oversees on-premises private dining, off-premises events/banqueting, catering drop-off, and B2B corporate business. This senior private event manager, revenue-focused role combining sales, client management, team leadership, and execution.
- Drive revenue across private dining, catering, and B2B channels
- Manage inbound leads and proactively develop new business
- Build relationships with corporate clients, executive assistants, and event planners
- Convert inquiries into confirmed bookings and maintain a strong pipeline
- Build long-term client relationships and drive repeat business
- Maintain clear, timely, and professional communication
- Develop proposals aligned with client needs and operational capabilities
- Plan and execute private dining, offsite events, and catering orders
- Create and manage accurate BEOs
- Coordinate with culinary, beverage, and operations teams
- Lead key events and ensure strong execution and guest satisfaction
- Lead and support a team of private sales coordinators, ensuring alignment on sales, execution, and service standards
Qualifications
- 6–10 years in private dining, events, catering, or hospitality sales
- Proven track record of driving revenue across multiple channels (private dining, catering, B2B)
- Experience with both on-premises events and offsite/catering
- Experience in the NYC hospitality market is a strong plus
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Proficiency with Tripleseat required
- Experience with ezCater and FoodStorm preferred
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and events as needed
Job Requirements
- Availability to work onsite with a flexible schedule often including evenings, weekends and holidays
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours, including standing, walking, bending and squatting
- Food Handler’s License preferred
Compensation: The annual compensation for this position is $70,000 - $80,000 Commission
