Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
- Manage cash handling, cashiering, and openTable reservations with precision and professionalism
- Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are consistently met during food handling and service
- Assist with bussing tables, cleaning work areas, and supporting kitchen staff when needed to maintain smooth operations
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially in fine dining or nightlife settings
- Strong knowledge of POS systems including Toast POS, Touch BistroPOS, and OpenTable for reservations management
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude that enhances guest relations
- Culinary experience or background in food preparation is a plus for understanding menu items and ingredients
- Effective time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently to maximize sales opportunities
- Knowledge of food safety protocols, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures
- Experience with host/hostess duties, bussing tables, or serving in nightclub atmospheres is advantageous
- Basic math skills for cash handling, cashiering, and order calculations
