Automotive General Manager / Variable Operations Director

for the dealer and will be engaged in every aspect of variable operations.

growing the business. In other words,
not just a “deal maker” but a “deal creator”. Many successful GSMs and
desk managers can REACT to phone, internet, and lot opportunities. We are looking for a Variable Operations Director that CREATE opportunities as well!
Responsibilities:
- Select,
train, coach, develop, and retain top-notch talent across the entire variable
operations team.
- Serve as
“deal creator” by being highly engaged in daily sales activities and driving a
high-level of performance among the sales team.
- Motivate
sales team to increase market share, maximize turn-rate, achieve targeted unit
sales, and profit margins while achieving excellent CSE.
- Be highly
engaged with all 3rd Party Vendors, digital platforms, etc., to maximize
spend/ROI.
- Possess
aptitude and ability to interpret analytics to maximize the spend on every
platform.
- Set clear
vision and goals for sales, finance, and recon team to achieve targeted
performance in all vehicle sales, financial services product sales, and growth
of variable operations.
- Engage in
all aspects of training and motivating the team to achieve goals, performance
expectations, and best practices.
- Drive the
business through a high-level of involvement in the day-to-day operations.
- Manage
negotiation and finance processes with Sales Associates, ensuring that
customers understand vehicle purchase options and pricing.
- Lead the
Used Vehicle Department including inventory management, acquisition,
merchandising, pricing, and the reconditioning process.
- Manage all
three areas of customer traffic: Showroom, E-Commerce, and Phones
- Assist in
managing controllable expenses for the new and used vehicle departments.
- Analyze
the business to determine shortfalls and develop action plans to improve
performance
Requirements
- 3 years of GSM and/or GM experience
- Proven track record of an outstanding CSI
- High energy
- Professional appearance
- Strong communication skills
- Personable
