What RCAs Do at EastView
Our RCAs play a vital role in supporting residents’ physical, cognitive, emotional, and social wellbeing. Responsibilities include:
- Personal Care: Assisting with ambulation, hygiene, and mealtime needs.
- Support for Special Needs: Providing compassionate care tailored to individual requirements.
- Responding to Resident Needs: Answering call signals and ensuring timely assistance.
- Health Monitoring: Checking vital signs, administering medications (as appropriate), and documenting care under the guidance of registered nurses.
- Engagement & Companionship: Conversing, entertaining, and participating in activities to keep residents mentally and physically active.
- Record Keeping: Documenting resident progress and reporting changes to supervisors.
- Housekeeping: Helping with laundry, dishes, linen changes, and general tidiness.
- Outings: Accompanying residents on trips and providing support as needed.

We’re currently hiring for full-time and part-time employees for the EVENING shift, 2:45 pm - 11:15 pm.
- Shift differentials of up to $3/hour
- LNA's earn an additional $1.50/per hour
- Every-other weekend availability required

Skills & Abilities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Compassionate and proactive—able to assess needs and offer help
- Proficient in using medical and adaptive equipment relevant to clinical care
- Demonstrates safe practices, including proper use of equipment and body mechanics for lifting, transferring, and repositioning residents
Qualifications & Knowledge

High school diploma or equivalent plus at least one year of hands-on direct care experience
(An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered) - Understanding of customer service principles, including needs assessment, quality standards, and satisfaction evaluation
Physical Requirements
- Work is performed in both standard office and residential care settings
- Must be able to perform physical tasks such as lifting, walking, standing, stooping, and balancing
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs
- Occasional overtime may be required
