Job Overview
East Side Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a compassionate and reliable Unit Assistant to join our team on evenings and weekends. This vital support role helps enhance the comfort and quality of life for our residents by assisting with non-clinical tasks on our rehab and long-term care units.
Responsibilities Include:
Assisting with meal service: passing meal trays and beverages
Making and tidying beds
Answering call bells and promptly relaying messages to nursing staff
Passing water and ensuring hydration needs are met
Providing general comfort and support to residents
Supporting the nursing staff with light, non-clinical duties as needed
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Previous experience in a healthcare or long-term care setting a plus, but not a requirement.
Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate demeanor
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
Must be able to work evenings and weekends (Saturday and Sunday shifts)
