An innovative medical practice is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Remote Scheduler with a minimum of 3 - 4 years of experience in the medical and healthcare industry. The ideal candidate will possess strong technological expertise, excellent organizational skills, and a customer-focused mindset. This role involves coordinating schedules, managing communications, and ensuring smooth operations in a remote healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Schedule Coordination
  • Organize and manage schedules for patients, providers, and staff.
  • Communicate and confirm appointments, minimizing conflicts and optimizing efficiency.
  • Patient and Provider Support
  • Act as the primary point of contact for patients and providers, addressing inquiries with excellent customer service and professionalism.
  • Coordinate services to ensure timely and seamless patient care delivery.
  • Electronic Medical Records (EMR) Management
  • Utilize EMR systems for data entry, record management, and appointment tracking.
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance with healthcare regulations and confidentiality standards.
  • Insurance Coordination
  • Handle insurance-related tasks, including knowledge of Medicare, private payers, auto insurance, and Labor & Industries (L&I).
  • Verify insurance coverage, assist with authorizations, and ensure compliance with payer requirements.
  • Administrative Tasks
  • Prepare and maintain patient records, reports, and other documentation as required.
  • Manage communications, including drafting emails and follow-ups with patients and staff.
  • Technology Utilization
  • Leverage technology to streamline operations, including video conferencing, scheduling software, and other virtual tools.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and suggest improvements for efficiency.
  • Problem-Solving and Multi-Tasking
  • Resolve scheduling conflicts, insurance discrepancies, and patient concerns effectively and professionally.
  • Balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 - 4 years in the medical and healthcare industry.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with EMR systems and advanced technology skills, including scheduling software and collaboration tools.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of Medicare, private payers, auto insurance, and Labor & Industries regulations.
  • Skills:
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to multi-task and solve problems effectively.
  • Advantage: Knowledge of auto insurance and Labor & Industries processes.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with telehealth platforms.
  • Experience in patient advocacy and coordination.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $19.00 per hour
