Operations Quality Technician (3rd Shift – Weekend PM)
Location: Acton, MA
Onsite | Weekend 3rd Shift
Schedule: Friday – Sunday | 6:00 PM – 6:30 AM
Hours: Paid for 40 hours/week (36 hours worked)
Contract Length: Temp-Hire
Pay: $30.00/hr (includes night weekend differential)
About the Opportunity
This Operations Quality Technician role supports a medical device manufacturing site during weekend 3rd shift operations. The position plays a key role in ensuring products meet established quality standards and that manufacturing processes remain compliant with internal procedures and regulatory requirements.
This is a strong fit for someone who is detail-oriented, comfortable working independently, and experienced (or interested) in quality inspection within a regulated manufacturing or cleanroom environment.
Shift & Pay Details

Weekend PM shift: Friday through Sunday, 6:00 PM – 6:30 AM
*
36 hours worked, paid as 40 hours/week
*
Pay rate includes:
*
15% night shift differential
*
10% weekend differential
*
Potential for conversion to full-time after 90 days based on performance
What You’ll Be Doing
*
Perform incoming, in-process, and lot qualification inspections at various stages of manufacturing
*
Inspect components and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards
*
Accurately document inspection results and enter data into electronic systems (e.g., Excel, SAP, electronic DHR systems)
*
Generate, review, and maintain quality records such as device history records and training documentation
*
Verify equipment calibration status prior to use
*
Support audits and inspections as needed
*
Work from specifications, procedures, and instructions provided by Quality leadership
*
Enforce cGMPs, GDPs, and GLPs
*
Escalate discrepancies to Quality or Operations leadership promptly
*
Maintain a clean and compliant work environment suitable for cleanroom manufacturing
*
Support additional manufacturing or quality functions as business needs arise
What We’re Looking For
Required
*
High School Diploma or equivalent
*
Strong attention to detail and comfort working with documentation
*
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
*
Proficiency in English (reading, writing, verbal communication)
*
Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
*
Willingness and ability to work weekend overnight shifts onsite
Nice to Have
*
Experience in medical device, regulated manufacturing, or lab environments
*
Familiarity with inspection and measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, tensile testers, video microscopes, or optical gauging tools
*
Experience working with microscopes or stereoscopes
*
Exposure to cleanroom environments
Physical Requirements
*
Standing for up to 75% of the shift, with walking up to 50%
*
Frequent reaching above shoulder height and occasional bending below waist
*
Pushing and pulling as required
*
Lift up to 20 lbs occasionally, 5–20 lbs frequently
*
Visual acuity to inspect small parts, components, and labeling (corrective lenses permitted)
