Job Title: Billing & Collections Associate
Location: Costa Mesa, CA
Pay rate: $27 p/h
Employment Type: Temp-to-hire
FLSA Status: Non-exempt
Schedule: M-F 8 am to 5 pm
Essential Duties / Responsibilities
*
Monitor the status of customer accounts daily while building and maintaining a professional and courteous relationship with customers by phone and/or email.
*
Keeping detailed records of all communications and actions taken for both billing and collections.
*
Document accounts with the status of invoices and follow-up dates of payments.
*
Exhibit strong communication skills in customer interactions, exhibit creativity and skill in delivering practical solutions, and thrive in a collaborative environment.
*
Investigate and resolve customer queries.
*
Able to review data, correct discrepancies, and reconcile customer purchase orders to invoices.
*
Prepare all invoices, review/enter all charges, print invoice to PDF, and email with applicable documentation to customers or submit electronically when applicable.
*
Proactively identify and resolve billing-related issues.
*
Responsible for all projects in UKG (related to field jobs tracked), including set-up, closing, and cancellations.
*
Able to work independently without much oversight.
*
Able to prioritize and meet deadlines.
*
Performs other accounting duties as requested by the Controller or Assistant Controller.
Qualifications
Education/Training/Certifications: Some college preferred, but will accept someone with 3-5 years of experience.
Related Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience working in an accounting environment, preferably for a service company.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Exceptional attention to detail. Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills. Computer skills in Microsoft Word and Excel. Ability to interact with employees and customers in a professional and service-oriented manner. Must have consistent attendance and timeliness.
