Job Type: Full-Time
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dietary Aide to join our dietary department in providing high-quality meals to residents in our long-term care facility. The Dietary Aide plays a key role in ensuring residents receive nutritious, well-balanced meals while maintaining a clean and sanitary dining environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and serving of meals following dietary guidelines and resident preferences
- Ensure food is presented attractively and served at the correct temperature
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen, dining areas, and equipment in compliance with health regulations
- Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment as needed
- Follow special diets and meal modifications based on resident dietary needs
- Stock and organize food supplies and ingredients
- Assist in meal delivery to residents, ensuring friendly and respectful interactions
- Work collaboratively with the dietary team to maintain a positive dining experience for residents
Qualifications:
· High school diploma or GED preferred
· Previous food service experience in healthcare or long-term care (preferred but not required)
· Ability to follow dietary guidelines and safety protocols
· Strong teamwork and communication skills
· Compassionate attitude with a commitment to resident care
· Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs
· Will require a TB Test; which can be performed on-site.
