Easton General Contractors LLC is seeking an experienced Municipal Construction Inspector, Public Works Professional, Civil Engineering Technician, or retired PennDOT/Municipal employee to assist with ADA ramp, sidewalk, and municipal infrastructure projects in the Lehigh Valley.
This is a flexible part-time consulting position ideal for a retired professional who enjoys staying involved in construction projects and helping ensure quality workmanship.
Responsibilities:
- Verify ADA ramp and sidewalk compliance
- Review slopes, grades, drainage, and field conditions
- Inspect concrete forms prior to placement
- Observe traffic control and site safety practices
- Take project photographs and maintain documentation
- Assist project management with quality control and field coordination
- Identify potential issues before owner or engineer inspections
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with municipal or public works construction
- ADA ramps, sidewalks, curb ramps, or roadway projects
- PennDOT, township, borough, county, or engineering firm experience
- Ability to read plans and specifications
- Strong attention to detail and documentation
Compensation:
- $75–$125 per hour based on experience
- Flexible consulting arrangement
- Independent Contractor (1099)
