Provisional Employee (PE) - Lab Analysts are part-time positions, without benefits, and are eligible to work up to 1,200 hours in a calendar year. The duration of this assignment is not to exceed 12-months.

Provisional Employee (PE) - Lab Analysts are part-time positions, without benefits, and are eligible to work up to 1,200 hours in a calendar year. The duration of this assignment is not to exceed 12-months.
Responsibilities
- Applicants must be willing to work 12-hour rotating shifts.
- Perform a variety of analytical testing of raw materials, in-process and final product samples.
- Simultaneously operate a variety of analytical instruments to perform sample tests.
- Use volumetric glassware, balances and dispensing devices to prepare samples for analysis.
- The individual will be trained to perform the responsibilities of the job through completion of an on-site structured training program.
- Work scheduling will be by assignment on a weekly basis to cover a regularly scheduled shift, but participants must also be willing to work on a call-in basis with notice as short as 8 hours in advance.
Education/Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry is preferred.
- Prior experience in a laboratory environment or advanced (post-high school) study in Chemistry or science is preferred.
- Computer experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook is preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to perform all of the essential elements of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations.
