As the Procurement Operations Manager, you will be a key leader for Indirect Procurement at Eastman Chemical Company. Your team consists of over 30 members in Hyderabad, India and Mexico City, Mexico, who are responsible for materials and services fulfillment. Your primary objective is to achieve operational excellence by managing resources, processes, and systems effectively in collaboration with our partners in Accounts Payable. This involves implementing continuous process improvements, driving efficiencies, while supporting business and stakeholder needs. With large teams, continual development of team members capabilities is paramount to our success.
We are looking for someone who is currently living near the Mexico City, MX or Kingsport, TN areas.
- Lead and inspire operational procurement teams, fostering continuous development for exceptional results.
- Measure and track internal performance, KPI's and metrics, leading through change and developing team members.
- Play a key role in recruiting to strengthen team capabilities.
- Drive cost savings goals for the region, achieving total cost of ownership reductions through effective change management.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand & prioritize their needs and align procurement operations strategies for organizational success.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
- Build and manage supplier relationships, performance, based on business needs.
- Globalize and standardize work practices while driving productivity improvements.
- Manage any escalation as needed to resolve the situation as quickly as possible.
- Ensure compliance with internal and external policies, regulations, and laws.
- Bachelor's degree in business or a related field, or equivalent qualification, with several years of proven leadership experience.
- Expertise in process improvement, planning, and change management, driving operational efficiency.
- Strong relationship building skills and adaptability to global cultures
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and SAP systems.
- Proficiency in English writing and speech; strong global communication skills
