What You'll Do:
- Implement treatment plans developed by supervising therapists
- Provide quality therapy services to pediatric clients while supporting their developmental and functional goals
- Document client progress, treatment outcomes, and billing information in accordance with program and regulatory requirements
- Utilize Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and related systems, including Office 365, Teams, and Outlook
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, therapists, and other professionals to ensure coordinated care
- Assist with managing therapy equipment, including recommendations, ordering, and education for families and staff
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized therapy environment
- Support clients across various Easterseals programs as needed
- Protect client confidentiality and comply with all privacy and HIPAA requirements
- Demonstrate professionalism, flexibility, teamwork, and a commitment to continuous learning
What You Bring
- Associate's degree from a physical therapist assistant program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE)
- Current Florida Physical Therapy assistant (PTA) License
- National Provider Identifier (NPI) preferred
- Pediatric experience... we will train! Mentorship provided
- Proficiency with basic computer applications and Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
- Knowledge of therapy-related equipment and safety procedures
- Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
- Integrity, tact, and sound judgement
- Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, lift and carry children weighing up to 50 pounds
- Ability to meet our approved driver qualifications in order to drive our vehicles, as required, to drive and transport passengers for program-related needs (minimum age of 21 and good driving history)
