Student loan repayment options Pet Insurance Easterseals MORC is seeking an experienced and licensed BCBA to join our Intensive Services program—a short-term stabilization service designed to support children, adults, and families experiencing significant behavioral or mental health crises. This role is primarily home- and community-based (with telehealth as needed) and focuses on parent education, crisis prevention, and intensive behavior support. The ideal candidate will have at least four years of BCBA experience, a Master’s degree in a related field, and a strong background in conducting FBAs and developing Behavior Intervention Plans for individuals with high-intensity needs and co-occurring diagnoses such as ASD, ODD, ADHD, or trauma-related disorders. Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, flexibility, and a commitment to working with diverse populations are key. This is not a clinic-based position—it requires comfort working in family homes, with flexibility in caseload intensity and scheduling Qualifications for BCBA – Intensive Services: Education: Master’s degree in applied behavior analysis, psychology, special education, early childhood development/education, pediatric therapy, or a related field from an accredited institution. Certification: Active Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) for at least four years, licensed in Michigan. Experience: Conducting Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and developing Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) for clients with high-intensity behavioral needs. At least two years working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and/or related developmental disabilities in a multidisciplinary team setting. Experience supporting individuals with co-occurring diagnoses such as ODD, ADHD, or anxiety (additional mental health licensure preferred). Skills & Knowledge: Proficient in evidence-based ABA methodologies (e.g., VB-MAPP, ABBLS, PEERS). Familiarity with community resources and agencies serving children. Strong verbal and written communication skills; ASL or bilingual ability preferred. Sensitive to and experienced with diverse populations. Good judgment, decision-making, confidentiality, and discretion. Ability to interpret and implement policies and procedures appropriately. Proficiency with computer and word processing software. Ability to travel to multiple work sites; requires reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and auto insurance. Clinical Responsibilities: Assist families experiencing a significant behavioral and/or mental health crisis, such as physical aggression, self-injurious behavior, suicidal ideation, etc and equip families with tools to help individuals stay out of the hospital. Provides clinical intervention (including safety planning) utilizing an intensive parent training model of service to children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder of various developmental levels and other co-occurring diagnoses and their families experiencing complex behavioral and/or mental health crisis. Assist families in identifying and navigating the behavioral and mental health systems to access needed care supports and services. Coordinating and consulting with other multidisciplinary team members to support complex client needs utilizing Applied Behavior Analysis, Functional Behavioral Assessments, and Behavior Treatment Planning. Schedules regular home visits with care givers to review plan and support effectiveness, make observations, collect data, chart progress and provide intensive parent coaching and training. Supervise and train direct care staff (behavior technicians, respite staff, etc) in implementation of recommended behavior interventions. Report to and provide ongoing care updates to insurance providers and other key care partners. Utilize the spirit of motivational interviewing in all interactions with individuals served, families, caregivers and stakeholders. Administrative Responsibilities: Responsible for obtaining authorizations through the individuals insurance company and participating in case reviews with insurance companies as needed. Responsible for meeting productivity requirements set forth in annual budget and for providing efficient and effective service in all areas of performance. Maintain accurate documentation of billable tasks that meets the requirements of regulatory agencies and funding sources, and is HIPAA compliant. Track direct and indirect client sessions to ensure that services are provided to the full extent of the authorization for each client.
