What are the responsibilities and job description for the Transitional Coordinator position at Easterseals West Alabama?
ESWA is looking for a full-time Transitional Coordinator.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Effective oral and written communication. Must develop and maintain partnerships with businesses and referring agencies. Must have the ability to work with diverse consumers. Must be organized and able to maintain confidentiality. Must have knowledge of computer software including Microsoft Office. Must be able to travel independently. Must be able to sit, stand or walk for prolonged periods. Must be able to file, answer phone calls, use the copier, and enter data efficiently. Must be able to maintain case notes and provide required reports as needed.
SPECIFIC DUTIES:
1. Will work under the direct supervision of the Director of Workforce Operations.
2. Will present programs following established curriculum including, but not limited to:
- Driver’s Permit Training
- Work Smart!
- Job Exploration Training
- Financial Literacy
- Virtual Job Shadowing
- Social Skills
- Self-Advocacy /Assertiveness
3. Will prepare and maintain all materials necessary for instruction.
4. Will record attendance for each class.
5. Will maintain daily notes and summary reports. This includes an individual summary report on each student.
6. Will forward all required documentation to the referring agency.
7. Will coordinate programs throughout the service area.
8. Will carry out other related duties as assigned by immediate supervisor.
Requirements:
- Valid Driver's License
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must pass a background check, drug screen, and MVR check.
